Star Trails and Perseid, August 13, 2007. The annual Perseid Meteor Shower reached its peak of activity during the early hours of August 13th. The weather was perfect, and I spent several hours photographing the event. Although I did manage to capture several meteors with the camera, none of them were brilliantly bright.
This photograph shows one full hour star motion during the photo session. A faint Perseid is visible as a horizontal streak about a third of the way up, on the left side. The bright star Polaris is near the centre of the star rotation.
