Lightning and Stars, September 5, 2012. It's rare to have both a starry sky, and an active lightning storm sharing the same sky. I've only experienced it a few times.
This photograph was taken at around midnight in front of my home as a dynamic storm moved over the Bruce Peninsula from Lake Huron to Georgian Bay. The sky above me was clear while the storm front cut diagonally across the peninsula from south-west to north-east. I took photographs for about an hour as the storm evolved.
