Harvest Moon, September 17, 2005. The full Moon closest to the first day of autumn is often called the Harvest Moon. It seems to rise above the horizon a little more slowly than at other times of the year, and this year it also took on a nice pumpkin like glow. Georgian Bay is in the middle distance.
