Aurora, May 23, 2012 no. 3. This spring-time aurora was a bit understated compared to some of the dramatic solar maximum displays, but lovely to see nonetheless. I noticed it at midnight, and spent a quiet half an hour photographing it before it began to fade, and the clouds moved in.
